Visitation

“Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world… I was sick and you visited Me’… ‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ ”  (Matthew 25: 34,36b, 39-40)

We strive to demonstrate a holistic approach in everything we do as it relates to the physical body, emotional soul and eternal spirit. We model our ministry after the life of Jesus Christ our Savior, who possessed hands that healed, words that comforted, peace that transcended every difficult situation and hope that encouraged even the most troubled person. We invite you to continue reading about the methods by which we provide our ministry.

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13)

SERVICES PROVIDED:

Home Visit
The Visitation Ministry represents the symbolic hands and feet of Christ as we share with people who are ill or otherwise unable to attend worship services due to physical limitations. Our team members provide spiritual bonding, physical companionship and a safe place for individuals to discuss their emotions. During a home visit from a member of our team, you will experience the peace of God through a time of sharing and praying together.

Hospital Visit
There are times when physical situations cause a member or loved one to be admitted to a hospital. During these times, the Visitation Ministry provides physical and emotional support based upon Scriptural insight. Our pleasant conversations, effectual prayers and calming demeanor provide a place of solace for the entire family while your loved one is trying to heal his or her physical body.

Rehabilitation (Rehab) Visit
Rehabilitation centers, also commonly known as "rehabs," are specialized medical-care facilities that focus on equipping and empowering persons who have lost some level of physical mobility. Patients in rehab centers are those who have achieved medical stability and are now at a point where their main goal is regaining a level of independent living. During this lengthy time of transition, it is the goal of the visitation team to provide Godly support by offering fervent prayers, unbiased listening, and reassurance in Christ to you and your loved ones.

Personal Care Home Visit
Personal-care homes have the goal of maintaining a family environment for persons who are unable to live independently. The Visitation Ministry provides companionship, Bible study and pleasant conversations to those who invite us to see them. We strive to be the presence of God and the love of Christ in the personal-care home.

Nursing Home Visit
Nursing homes, which are frequently called “health-care facilities,” are in place to provide a certain level of medical care for the residents to maintain a life of dignity and purpose. With the support of the administrations, we are able to provide Bible studies, room-to-room visits, prayer times, singing, testimonials and Communion.

Hospice Visit
Hospice care is synonymous with the acceptance of death as a rite of passage meant to be embraced. The goal of hospice facilities is to make the transition as loving and as peaceful as possible. Upon request, we will accompany the family along this journey by offering reflective conversations; singing songs of praise and thanksgiving; saying prayers of intercession and peace; and inviting God to be in our midst. The end of life is a very sacred moment for those of us who die in the Lord.
