Weddings
The sanctuary and facilities of Esserville Church are a great place for weddings, and we make them available to our church family, and our community for celebrating marriage. Pastor Travis will perform the ceremony upon the completion of pre-marital counseling with the perspective couple, or the minister of your choice may perform the ceremony after meeting with Pastor Travis, and in accordance with our wedding guidelines. The use of the church campus for weddings is subject to availability based upon other church events and activities, and in accordance with the following wedding guidelines:
- As Scripture designates marriage as the union of one man to one woman, and that homosexuality is an abomination to God, same sex marriages are not allowed on church premises, or in any of the facilities of the church.
- There shall be no smoking or use of any tobacco products in the church, dining hall, or any facilities of the church.
- The use of alcohol in the church, dining hall, or any facilities of the church is strictly prohibited.
- Only drip-less candles may be used in the sanctuary.
- The use of irons is prohibited in the sanctuary.
- The church must be emptied of all wedding accessories immediately following the wedding if the wedding is held on Saturday in order to prevent any conflict with church services on Sunday morning. If the wedding is held on any day other than Saturday, the church must be emptied of all wedding accessories within twenty-four (24) hours, or sooner if other church functions are planned that will utilize the facilities. The church, and facilities used must be left exactly as it was prior to the Wedding and/or Reception. If furnishing and fixtures aren’t returned to their original location, and if items that were taken down or moved for the ceremony/reception are not returned to their original location, the responsible party agrees to pay an additional fee of $100.00. Further, if any items belonging to the church are missing following ceremony/reception, the responsible party agrees to pay for the replacement of such item, at a cost not to exceed the principle of indemnity.
- The wedding party must use the church appointed sound and lighting technician.
- All rooms used in the fellowship facility for dressing must be left clean.
- All exterior doors of the church and fellowship facility must be closed at all times due to the continual operation of the HVAC unit.
- The wedding party shall be responsible for all damages incurred during the rehearsal, sanctuary set up, wedding, removal of wedding items, and reception.
- The following charges are established, and shall be paid a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the wedding.
A. $250.00 for use of sanctuary
B. $200.00 for use of the dining facilities for wedding reception
C. $100.00 for use of the sound and lighting technician
D. $250.00 for Church Wedding Coordinator
- There is no charge to church members or regular attendees of the church if the same said church members or regular attendees clean the sanctuary and fellowship facilities following the wedding and reception. In the event that church members or regular attendees of the church do not wish to be responsible for the cleaning of the church and fellowship facilities, they shall pay the respective fees.
